Hi everybody! 👋👋👋 How are you?😊

Today we will start investigating deeply about PLANETS.

As you know, there are 8 planets that orbit around the Sun. We can divide them into two big groups: Inner Planets and Outer Planets.

Do you know what divides the two groups????  THE ASTEROID BELT!! 

Look at the picture to investigate more about it. 

We will focus today on the group of planets that is closer to the Sun🌞: INNER PLANETS

Now, to do the following activity you have two options:  

1. You can print it and cut the phrases to form sentences and stick them in the copybook. 
2. If you can’t print it, you can copy the full sentences directly to the copybook. 

                                                                    

Match the sentences from column A to the ones in column B to discover the information about the planets.

Mercury is the smallest planet. It is just a little bigger...	...the Earth has water.
Venus is bright white because...	...a telescope. It is called “the morning star”.
The Earth is the third planet from...	...direction of Earth and most other planets.
Mars is a small, rocky and...	it is covered with clouds that reflect light. It is the brightest planet.
Venus is unusual because it spins the opposite...	...planet, Venus is.
The earth has got one...	...moon. (It is the only planet that has just one moon)
During the day Mercury can be super hot, but it is not the hottest...	...planet to the Sun. It is the first planet from the Sun.
Venus is shiny, sometimes we can see it from the Earth without...	the Sun. The Earth’s distance from the Sun makes it possible to sustain life
Mercury is the closest...	...than the Earth’s moon
Some parts of the Earth are wet because...	...terrestrial planet.
